About Us

NorDan Scandic Ltd was originally formed in November 1997 by Alastair Adamson and his wife, Corainn, with a view to utilising both his experience as a cabinet maker and as a Sales Administrator in timber door and window products and her experience in administration gained from Local Authority employment.

The idea behind the business was simple:

• Purchase of high quality timber products from abroad,
• Stock them in a readily available fashion,
• Sell them on to discerning customers.

Service Provided

The service which our company provides to our customers is to allow construction companies to pre-order goods in advance of their requirement on site and, having been stored in our warehousing until required, then allow the goods to be called off to suit site development programmes. Having alongside this our own ‘stock’ of popular products the ability to order goods which would take some 8-10 weeks from source to acquire and purchase them instead ‘off the shelf’ is a valuable commodity to the busy customer.

Although the above was the initial premise on which the operation was developed, we have been taken aback by the amount of the general public ordering goods from us to the extent that, as a sector, they are one of our biggest customers.

The company has carefully selected foreign manufacturers whose attitude to sustainable timber development in tandem with good design has been second to none.
